KIANGAN, Ifugao, Jan. 16 (PIA) - - Here's a good news for young women in this historic town who want to be trained to earn income.

Officials from the Jollibee Foundation Group (JFG) recently met with town officials regarding a training program on Quick Service Restaurant Operation (QSRO) for young women. This is limited to interested females who are single, 18-21 years old with no record of misconduct, and at least 80% scholastic average.

The scholarship is in partnership with the Angat Buhay Project of the Office of the Vice President Leni Robredo.

JFG explained that the QSRO is a technical-vocational course that involves a 12-month training consisting of units in Bread and Pastry Production, Cookery and Food and Beverage Services. It also provides administrative units essential in the QSRO industry including point-sales system, stock inventories and other related administrative tasks.

The scholars will undergo a six-month in-school training and a six-month on-the-job training (OJT). The in-school training will be at a reputable food service partner, the Anihan Technical School in Calamba City, Laguna. This is a technical-vocational institution established in 1986 and is owned by the Foundation for Professional Training, Inc.(FPTI), a non-profit organization promoting lifelong development for women.

For the OJT, the scholar will be assigned in various locations in Southern Luzon and Metro Manila where the industry partners of Anihan Technical School are located.

The JGF is the social responsibility arm of Jollibee Foods Corporation, the Philippines' largest food service company and Asia's largest restaurant company which includes Jollibee, Greenwich, Chowking, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal, Burger King Philippines, Yonghe King, and Hong Zhuang Yuan.
