Learn more about quarterback Mason Rudolph in this edition of Five Fast Facts
1. Rudolph signed a two-year contract with the Steelers during free agency. Rudolph began his career with the Steelers as a third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, spending six seasons with the team before signing with the Tennessee Titans in 2024.
2. Rudolph was called upon heavily by the Steelers in 2023, starting the last three games of the season after then starter Kenny Pickett was injured. Rudolph led the team to three straight victories and an AFC Wild Card berth.
Rudolph completed 55 of 74 passes (74.3%) for 719 yards (9.7-yard average) and three touchdowns in four games. He also started the Wild Card game against the Buffalo Bills, completing 22 of 39 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.
3. Rudolph played college football at Oklahoma State where he was the winningest quarterback in school history, leading them to a 32-9 record as a starter, including 10 games in which Oklahoma State trailed in the second half. He finished his career holding 54 school records.
4. He attended Northwestern High School where he led this school to the South Carolina Class 4A Division II Championship, completed 40 of 57 passes for 488 yards and eight touchdowns in a 62-35 win in the game.
5. Rudolph was a "Mr. Football" award finalist in South Carolina and MVP of the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
