The Eagles announced on Monday afternoon that they have signed wide receiver Samori Toure. To make room for Toure on the roster, the Eagles released linebacker Chandler Martin.
The 6-foot-1, 196-pound Toure originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick of the Green Bay Packers out of Nebraska in 2022. Toure worked with Eagles Offensive Coordinator Sean Mannion during the coach's first season with the Packers in 2024.
In his first two seasons, Toure played in 22 games for Green Bay, catching 13 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown.
Tthe Packers released Toure following Training Camp in 2024 and spent time on the Bears' practice squad that season. Toure was on Denver's and New Orleans' practice squads in 2025, getting called up for one game with the Saints.
The Portland, Oregon native began his college career at Montana, where he was an FCS third-team All-American and Big Sky Conference Receiver of the Year in 2019. He broke the Grizzlies' single-season records with 87 receptions and 1,495 yards, which included an FCS playoff-record 303-yard outing against Southeast Louisiana. He transferred to Nebraska in 2021 after not playing in the 2020 COVID season and led the Huskers with 898 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns in 2021.
Martin went undrafted in 2025 out of Memphis and signed with the Baltimore Ravens. He was waived when the Ravens cut their roster to 53 players, but re-signed to the practice squad. Martin was elevated for three games and played solely on special teams. He was signed by the Eagles in March.
